Weekends are slow so I will likely only give one update each weekend from here on out. Shelby only had Speech therapy today. That was all the therapies she had this weekend. She is still not sleeping at night, however, I have managed to keep her awake all day and hopefully this will translate into a restful night of sleep. She is also sweating profusely at night and tends to tighten up at night. I don't know what this is or why it is happening, but it concerns me because she is not getting very good rest, she is losing a lot of fluid, and she is very tight all day. Even her right arm did not have its normal range of motion today. I don't have much else to update other than this. I thank all of you that sent pajamas and clothing. We have plenty at this point I think. You guys responded in a way that was frankly overwhelming. She has enough sets of pajamas now to last at least two weeks without need for laundry. That's pretty impressive. I must admit right now my main concern is getting her to sleep through the night. A restful night of sleep (which she really hasn't had since coming out of anasthesia) would go a long way in helping her therapies. When she is awake and herself she does extremely well. When she is not, she may as well not get out of bed. I am getting very frustrated with this whole situation and everything that has happened. She was supposed to be going back to work this week. She was supposed to be fine. Just keep praying, especially for her sleep and her memory. When she has difficult days it is very depressing and frustrating to me. Pray that I can get over this. I just want my wife back, and patience is not my strong suit.
