Shelb continues to struggle with sleep. Last night she did not sleep very well again. She did well in her therapy sessions however. PT is still working on sliding board transfers and upright posture. She is doing very well holding herself up on her own. We try to keep her awake in speech with goodies like chocolate ice cream and hot cocoa. Anything that she would like and may give her a reason to stay awake. She continues to be fed at night and they have started feeding her later in hopes that she will start to develop more of an appetite and start eating more during meal time. When she is awake for speech she does very well it is just a matter of getting and keeping her engaged so she doesn't fall asleep. She is going on a field trip on Thursday. Her OT and RT will be taking her to dinner and a movie. We are going to see Watchmen and grab some burgers on the way back. Other than that not much else to report. Her release date has been extended to May 20. They did this last week but I don't think I informed everyone. Until tomorrow, pray that she will sleep. She needs to start consistently sleeping well and I think this will really help her improve a lot.

    Shelby!

I just found out everything that happened from Jenny. I'm so sorry I didn't know about this sooner and was able to write or call. I've read all the entries Matt has posted and I'm so excited for your progress. It was so fun seeing you in the videos. Matt said that you like seeing what people are doing and I'll start taking some photos of my cosmetology school so you can see my life as a future hairstylist. I hope you enjoy them. I miss you and I will continue to read the blog for your updates. Jared and I are praying for you and Matt and I know you will persevere! I love you Shelby!

    Love,
    Toni
