Shelby moved units yesterday. She has been transferred out of ICU and into the pulmonary step down unit. For anyone planning on visiting the new room is in wing 6C-6440. Today they will begin weaning her from the oxygen and it shouldn't take very long. She is on a very low setting and seems to be breathing pretty easily. Hopefully our stay will be quick and then we can get back to rehab. I will keep everyone updated as things progress. Pray for a quick recovery and for her to gain some weight and strength. The move to ICU took a pretty severe toll on her body and she has a long way to go again.
Wanted to say HOORAY on the move out of ICU. Progress is wonderful. Matt I am amazed at your strength, Courtney said you were a "really nice guy" - that and so much more.

Hi Shelby, It's great news to hear you have been moved out of ICU and maybe not too long you will be back in rehab. Your Mom was telling me she has had a hard time keeping up with your spelling out words on the board, your too fast. It is so good to hear you are doing so much better. Matt I want to thank you so much for all your updates, I'm sure there have been many times it was very difficult for you, but it is so much appreciated. The strength that you have shown is beyond words. My love to all of you. Love Grandma

Shelby, your strength and endurance have been amazing to witness! We send lots of fervent prayers and wishes that you will be able to regain your strength easily so that you can retrace the steps you had taken before towards recovery!
